Welcome to Ballet Train, where the fun of dance meets the precision of technique.
Established in 1992, our Royal Academy of Dance certified teachers pride themselves on delivering exceptional ballet training.
At Ballet Train, we believe that dance is for everyone, regardless of age. That's why we offer classes tailored to children, adults, and our esteemed Silver Swans.
Whether you're a budding ballerina taking your first steps at the barre or a seasoned dancer looking to refine your technique, our expert instructors are here to guide you on your journey. With our small class size, we ensure that each student receives the personalised attention they deserve, fostering growth and confidence with every plié and tendu.
Debra Goodman
Founder
Founder of Ballet Train, Debra graduated from the
Royal Ballet School and danced professionally with
London Festival Ballet, the National Ballet of Portugal, London City Ballet, Vienna Festival Ballet, and The Dancers Company.
She was previously the Head of Dance at The Sylvia Young Theatre School and taught at The Urdang Academy and London Studio Centre before founding Ballet Train.

Debra
LRAD RTS
Founder of Ballet Train, Debra graduated from the
Royal Ballet School and then danced with

Mischa
BA
Starting his ballet education at Ballet Train Mischa went on to attend the Royal Ballet School White Lodge and then graduated from Dutch National Ballet Academy.
After graduation, Mischa joined Finnish National Ballet for two seasons and then continued on to dance with English National Ballet and in various freelance projects. He is currently a Coryphée with Sarasota Ballet.
Casey
Casey trained at the
San Francisco Ballet School.
After graduation, she joined Ballet San Jose where she danced for three seasons. She then joined Minnesota Ballet before coming to the UK where she danced with Vienna Festival Ballet, Sergei Polunin Ink, Viviana Durante Company, AC Workroom by Alina Cojocaru and in various other freelance engagements.
Our Teachers are RAD Certified and DBS checked
Children’s Ballet
For ages 3+
We offer various classes for dancers from 3 to 19.
Including those that adhere to the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, private coaching for preprofessional dancers, and group classes.
Adult Ballet
For ages 16+
Adult Ballet Class isn't just about technique—it's also about joy, camaraderie, and personal growth.
This class is perfect if you're seeking a challenging workout, a creative outlet, or simply a chance to connect with your love of dance.
Great for beginners, those returning to ballet, or those who are curious about trying dance.
This is a drop-in class.
Silver Swans
For ages 55+
Our Royal Academy of Dance Cerfited Silver Swans classes are specifically tailored to swans over 55+ but they are open to all ages and abilities.
These open and accessible, classes will help improve your mobility, posture, coordination, and energy levels.
This class provides a creative outlet and a chance to connect with a love of dance. You'll find a warm and supportive community waiting to welcome you with open arms
This is a drop-in class.
